Mid-Atlantic Spec Rep, Chemetal, Treefrog and InteriorArts
Chemetal is currently seeking a talented, organized and energetic Spec Rep or Spec Rep company to represent Chemetal, Treefrog and InteriorArts in Maryland, Virginia and Washington D.C. markets.
The ideal person or company is already representing several compatible but not directly competitive product lines and has industry experience and professional relationships at interior designs firms focused on commercial interiors in the Washington, D.C., Baltimore and outlying markets.
Chemetal, Treefrog and InteriorArts sell through an extensive distributor network, with existing, successful distributor locations within this market. Our primary focus is Chemetal; we make many metal designs in-house in western Massachusetts and source others from some of the best suppliers around the world. Secondary attention is given to Treefrog Veneer, a prefinished wood veneer sourced from Italy and InteriorArts, an hpl design laminate sourced overseas.
This is a commission-based job with pay determined as a percentage of assigned distributor sales. In this way there is guaranteed pay from month 1, a percentage of existing sales, with opportunity for more, and potentially higher commission rates, as distributor sales increase.
The spec rep job entails regularly calling on interior design and architecture firms, updating samples libraries, making presentations, delivering samples and gaining specifications for Chemetal, Treefrog and InteriorArts. You will work with and receive training from our sales team.
